If you have a program idea or are interested in presenting at the library, you are invited to complete the Program Proposal Form below.
What to Expect:
- Proposals are reviewed quarterly, and library staff will respond to those that best align with our strategic priorities and community needs.
- Most library programs are planned at least three months in advance to allow for proper promotion and scheduling. We cannot accommodate last-minute requests.
- Due to the high volume of inquiries, we are unable to move forward with every proposal. If you do not hear from us, please assume we are not able to pursue the opportunity at this time.
What We Are Looking For:
- Programs that offer educational, informational, or cultural value to the community
- Programs that are non-commercial in nature
- Programs that have attracted larger audiences in the past, including local history, arts and crafts workshops, and skill-based classes (such as cooking or photography)
Topics & Roles We Are Not Currently Seeking:
- Financial & Legal Programs: We are not seeking new collaborations on estate planning, Medicare, or Social Security due to existing partnerships.
- Author Visits: Our author events have had historically low attendance. With that in mind, you are always welcome to submit a proposal, particularly if you have had success at other libraries in the region.
- Storytime Readers: Our children's librarian leads storytimes using a carefully planned curriculum, so this role is typically not open to volunteers.
- Business Promotions: Programs with the intent to promote or solicit business, even if offered for free, are not permitted.
